A I Razu has managed to captivate music lovers with his versatility over the years. Be it folk, Bangla rock, or Hindi songs, he has managed to leave a mark multiple times with his melancholic voice.

His pursuit of music began at a tender age. The singer won the Notun Kuri Tv Award (2005) in folk and patriotic song categories. He further enhanced himself under the tutelage of Ustad Sanjib Dey after turning 19.

Focusing on classical and folk genres, Razu went on to pursue a diploma in music from the Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts (BAFA). Taking little steps, the musician slowly walked up towards his dream of singing, making a name for himself in the music industry.

He enlisted as a singer on Bangladesh Television (BTV), Bangladesh Betar, and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. With time, his voice started appearing frequently on television and radio shows.

"I slowly glided into the magic of live performances by participating in musical concerts now and then," mentions the singer.

A I Razu became the second runner's up in the famed music competition Power Voice 2012 organised by Channel 9. This elevated his popularity to new heights.

The singer debuted in the Bangladeshi playback industry with the title track "Char Okhorer Bhalobasha" in 2013. Emon Shaha was the music director of the film.

He later voiced "Janina Kokhon" in Munsur Ali's "Shongram" (2013). The song was a duet, featuring noted singer Kona alongside him. His song "Eki Maya" from the film "Desha: The Leader" (2015) strikes a chord with the audience on gloomy romantic nights even today.

A I Razu participated in Bangladesh Youth Delegation to India – 2016 as a delegate. He journeyed and performed in four different Indian states during the tour.  Other than that, he has staged concerts all over Bangladesh.

After preparing for an entire year, A I Razu finally established his YouTube channel named Studio AIR in 2018. His cover songs, commemorating the legacy of music gurus like national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, Rabindranath Tagore, Kishore Kumar, R D Burman, Sheikh Istiak, Abdul Jabbar, Dilruba Khan, Radha Raman, and Shafqat Amanat Ali, was appreciated by the listeners.

The singer released the romantic song, "Durotto" on Valentine's Day earlier this year. The song is written and composed by the singer himself. Shaker Raza, an ex-band member of Shunno Band, has arranged the music for this track.

On the other hand, his solo number "Biday Bolona" was released this September. It is written by Shahan Kabondho and composed by Bappa Mazumder.

"Bappa Mazumder is an inspiration for our generation, and Shahan Kabondho gifted many splendid tracks to our listeners," he mentions. "Working with this duo will always be marked as a milestone in my career."

A I Razu is currently working on his upcoming release "Shobdohin Shobdo". The song is written and composed by living legend Tapas Bapi Das from famed Kolkata-based band Moheener Ghoraguli.

"I was supposed to fly to Kolkata for this recording but sadly, the flights were shut down just one day before my departure," shares the singer. "However, we managed to work online and finish recording this song."

The music of this song is arranged by Bappa Mazumder. Popular Indian film-maker Samik Roy Choudhury has directed the music video for this number.

"We are in talks with some international music streaming platforms for the release of this composition," he shares. "We aim at releasing it internationally and I am hoping for the best."

The artiste is also working with the famed composer and singer Rupam Islam on a track titled "Shobai Shobar Motoni ", is dedicated to a social cause.

"Music is my soul and I have always seen is as a prayer rather than a profession. I hope to live up to my dreams with my work," he concludes.
