Bidya Sinha Mim signed for Dipankar Dipon directorial “Antarjal”
Noted actor Bidya Sinha Mim is set to star in Dipankar Dipon's cyber-thriller "Antarjal". The actor signed an agreement with Motion People's Studio on June 20, in their office. Producer Sadekur Arifin and co-producer Shah Amir Khosru were present on this occasion, among others.
The production, being touted as the country's first cyber-thriller by Motion People's Studio in association with the ICT Ministry, aims at highlighting the activities and initiatives of the Bangladesh Government's e-Government Computer Incident Response Team (BGD e-GOV CIRT) in ensuring online security.
"Bidya Sinha Mim will play the role of an IT foreign graduate. She will represent the country in the field of cyber-attack as an officer of BGD e-GOV CIRT," says director Dipankar Dipon, who has also written the screenplay of the production. "While she represents a strong character, her role will be loaded with drama and action."
Bidya Sinha Mim had to undergo intense research while preparing for this role. "When the country faces a cyber-attack, different individuals and organisations work together to overcome that crisis," and people of that country work together to protect the country. In this film, I will fight for the protection of my country as a cyber-security specialist," she says. "This is the first time I will be seen in such a role on screen and while I had to undergo an intense preparation, I look forward to positive experiences in this regard."
ICT Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak announced the film "Antarjal" on February 28. The story of the film is written by Dipankar Dipon, Saifullah Riyadh and Asha Zahid.
