125 personalities collaborate for Coronavirus fund
With each passing day, the coronavirus pandemic situation looks to be getting more dire in our country. With the government extending the isolation period to April 25, the ones suffering the most are the day laborers and lower-middle class earners.
Esho Shobai, written by Asif Iqbal and composed by Adit Rahman, released yesterday, featuring 125 renowned personalities from various fields in a joint effort to make a fund for the ones in need. The project was initiated by Didarul Islam Sunny, Mahadi Faisal, Adit Rahman, Asif Iqbal, Risalat Saleque and Mahzabin Ferdous.
"We wanted to do something for the people," says Asif Iqbal, who was initially discussing the project in a group chat. "What started as a group of barely 10/20 people, soon exceeded 100, as artistes are inherently willing to help the society in times like this."
The esteemed writer believes that the coronavirus pandemic is a wake-up call for everyone on the planet. "We ought to be more respectful of the way we treat the earth, and I believe that we will be more humane, caring and compassionate as we start getting back to our normal lives eventually." The participants in the video urged everyone – from individuals to big corporations, to come forward and contribute to the fund.
