Exhibition in honour of Sheikh Hasina's 71st birth anniversary ends
A special exhibition marking the 71st birth anniversary of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina concluded on Sunday at the National Museum in the capital. A total of 71 portraits of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and 101 traditional tapestries of Jamalpur were displayed at the exhibition. The portraits were painted by eminent artists of the country.
Hasumonir Pathshala, a library and research-oriented socio-cultural institution, along with Bangladesh National Museum organised the event.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader was present at the programme as the chief guest.
DU Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Samad, Artist Professor Jamal Ahmed and Bangladesh National Museum Director General Md Muksodur Rahman Patwary were present at the function as the special guests.
The exhibition began on October 12.
