Youth gets 6 months jail for harassing SSC examinees
A mobile court today (September 22, 2022) sentenced a youth to six months in prison for eve-teasing and bullying SSC examinees in Lohagara upazila of Chattogram.
Executive Magistrate and Lohagara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sharif Ullah handed down the sentence to Md Ridwan (19), of Lohagara Sadar this morning, our Chattogram staff correspondent reports.
An Ansar member was injured while arresting the youth during the drive.
Sharif Ullah said that some youths were throwing soft drinks and water on examinees at Shahpir Pilot High School. The youths were making objectionable comments towards them when the girls were entering the exam centre, he added.
Ridwan was caught red-handed from the spot but his associates managed to flee. Later he jailed for the offence.
