Blueprints 4.0 concludes at North South University
The grand finale of the national financial modeling competition, 'IDLC Securities Limited Presents Blueprints 4.0', co-sponsored by Shimanto Bank Limited, IFIC Bank and Dhaka Bank Limited, took place at North South University recently.
Organised by North South University Finance Club, the competition saw outstanding performances from undergraduate students from all over the country. Among the 152 registered teams, 34 teams proceeded into the second round, from which the top eight teams made their way into the grand finale.
The core objective of Blueprints is to augment financial modeling skills in students so that they can think critically without textbook help. The alliance between IDLC Securities Limited and the North South University Finance Club was vital to turn the nation's first financial modeling competition into a success. Star Youth, The Daily Star, was the youth engagement partner of the programme.
'Barely Managing' from Jahangirnagar University took the champion's trophy, with a prize money of BDT 2 lakhs, while the first runner up, 'Broke Billionaires' from North South University received BDT 1 lakh and 'Bear Bulls' from North South University received BDT 50,000 as second runner up of the fourth edition of Blueprints. The judge panel consisted of great industry professionals, including Tajdin Hassan, Head of Marketing at The Daily Star, Shahidul Islam, CEO at VIPB Asset Management Company Limited, MD Saifuddin, MD at IDLC Securities Limited and Rashed Hasan, CIO at LR Global Bangladesh Asset Management Company Limited.
Dr Toufic Ahmad Chowdhury, Director General of Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management, Arif Khan, CEO and MD at IDLC Finance Limited, Dr M. Mahboob Rahman, Dean of School of Business & Economics, North South University and Muklesur Rahman, MD and CEO at Shimanto Bank Limited graced the occasion with their presence.
