Sad state of street children
A happy life is still a far cry for children who are born on the street and pass their childhood roaming here and there. People have no consideration regarding their emotions, wishes and dreams as they are just ‘street’ children. The word ‘ street ‘ takes away the course of life others go through. For them, there is only uncertainty, risk, and vulnerability.
Both government agencies and non-governmental organisations have to work to change this sad state of street children in the country. The sooner this is done, the better as these children are the future of our country. Last but not least, rehabilitating street children will relieve the dangers of child labour, child marriage, infant mortality, malnutrition, illiteracy, child abuse, child trafficking and recruiting for terrorism.
