WC trophy hits BD
The ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy will arrive in Bangladesh today for a four-day tour which is a part of its journey around the globe. Fans in Dhaka, Sylhet and Chattogram will have the chance to see the trophy in their respective cities before it is taken elsewhere on 21 October.
After a photo session with under privileged children and members of the national team at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, the trophy will be on display at the centre court of the Jamuna Future Park. It will be taken to the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium and the MA Aziz Stadium in Chattogram.
The next World Cup will take place in England and Wales from May 30 to July 14 in 2019. Bangladesh is the trophy's sixth stopover.
