Bangladesh Test and T20I skipper Shakib Al Hasan clawed his way back to the top three of the ICC Test all-rounder rankings as he climbed a spot from fourth following the first Test against India in Chattogram.

The ace all-rounder with 329 points displaced England's Test skipper Ben Stokes who now sits fourth with 324 points.

Despite a dismal outing in the first innings, Shakib came back in the second with an 84-run knock but had to see his side succumb to a mammoth 188-run defeat.

With the ball, he could only deliver a total of 12 overs in the first innings and could not bowl in the second as he was carrying an injury.
But his English counterpart, Stokes ended England's tour of Pakistan in absolute jubilation with a 3-0 drubbing in the Test series.
