MOMENTS
FIZZ-DOM
Spectators have been crying themselves hoarse about Bangladesh pacers' inability to think on their feet -- they often tend to stick to a preset line and length regardless of what the batsman is doing. Mustafizur Rahman, however, bucks that trend. Zimbabwe opener Cephas Zhuwao is a bit of a one-trick pony. On a pitch with a bit of pace, he kept swinging and missing against Mustafizur in the early exchanges without much foot movement until, in the sixth over, the left-hander managed to middle one and hit a six over long on. In the first ball of his next over Mustafizur did what any fast bowler of old would have done, but not something that many do now. He bowled a quick bouncer and Zhuwao, not expecting that after a steady diet of length deliveries, wore one on the side of the helmet. Sufficiently rattled, he did not try any more big hits till he was out in the ninth over.
MUSHY BECOMES 11TH GLOVEMAN TO 200 DISMISSALS
In the last ball of the 38th over, Sean Williams toe-edged a ball from Mohammad Saifuddin and wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim bent low and took the ball an inch or two above the turf. It was a special moment as he became just the 11th wicketkeeper to reach 200 dismissals in ODI cricket. It was his 158th catch to go with his 42 stumpings. He has two other catches as a fielder. The next best among Bangladesh wicketkeepers is Khaled Mashud with 126. Before the innings was through, he added one more by catching Sikandar Raza. He needs three more to overtake West Indies legend Jeffrey Dujon.
MEHEDI FEELS MASHRAFE'S WRATH
In the 21st over of Zimbabwe's innings, Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was bowling to Sean Williams, who tapped the ball to Mehedi Hasan Miraz -- a livewire with a penchant for over-enthusiasm -- at short midwicket. Mehedi put in an athletic dive to stop the ball and, even though Williams was safely back in the crease, threw the ball at the striker's end where it hit the stumps but ricocheted away, allowing Zimbabwe an overthrow.
"This is why I get mad at you," Mashrafe was heard on the stump microphone yelling at Mehedi. "What need was there to throw at the stumps?"
A sheepish Mehedi brushed himself off and, needless to say, there were not many flashy throws after that.
