India paceman bags 10 wickets in an innings
Rex Rajkumar Singh, an 18-year old pacer from Manipur -- a north-eastern state of India, picked up all 10 wickets in an innings in India’a four-day Cooch Behar Trophy, a tournament for U-19 players.
His bowling figure stood at an incredible 10/11 and six of the 9.5 overs he bowled were maidens. It appears that the Indian Supreme Court’s decision to promote cricket in the north-eastern states of India is already reaping its benefits as Rex bagged 15 wickets in the match overall.
Rex castled five batsmen while two were trapped in front to fall to leg-before-wicket. Two were caught by the wicket-keeper while the other was caught by another player as the bowler destroyed the opposition in Manipur’s easy 10-wicket win.
Most remarkably ofcourse, he found himself on a hat-trick thrice Arunachal Pradesh were bowled out for a paltry 36 in their second innings at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur on Tuesday, 12 December.
Rex Singh's figures: 9.5-6-11-10
