Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman, celebrating his 21st birthday today, has become quite a popular figure in the international cricket community in his short career by dint of his awesome talent and his appearances in the Indian Premier League.
His performances for eventual champions Sunrisers Hyderabad have endeared him to the team management and particularly his captain David Warner.
The explosive Australian opener took an immediate liking to the soft-spoken youngster who had won him many matches with his death-overs bowling. And, to the delight of Bangladeshi cricket fans, Warner even went the extra mile of learning a few phrases in Bangla to communicate with his trump card, whose facility with English lagged far behind his expertise with ball in hand.
That foray into Bangla seems to have stayed with the Australian firebrand as the following tweet to Mustafizur shows:
Mustafizur is currently recovering from the shoulder surgery he underwent in England last month.
