Rupchanda's pickle and essay competitions announce winners

The curtains of Rupchanda Mustard Oil Inter-College Pickle & Essay Competition 2014 have finally come down. The competition started its journey on 16 May, 2014 and conducted the national level ceremony at Spectra Convention Center in Dhaka on 27 June, 2014. A total of 74 college/university teams participated in the competition.
In the pickle competition, primarily two teams were selected from each region and thus ten teams came to participate in the national level. In this extraordinary competition, participants had to cook and prepare the pickle in the venue. The best two teams along with their teacher have been gifted a trip to Nepal by Bangladesh Edible Oil Limited -- the distributor of Rupchanda Mustard Oil.
Beside the pickle competition, an essay competition was held in which thousands of college and university students participated. The topic of the essay was 'Soloana Bangaliyana'. Poet Rejauddin Stalin selected the two best essayists who will join the pickle competition winners for Nepal trip.
Kalpana Rahman and Lobi Rahman -- two food veterans took the responsibility of judging the pickle competition. The team of Government Victoria College, Comilla stood with the flag of first position and North South University claimed the second position.
In the essay competition the winners are Jannatul Ferdous (first position) and Suhrat Jamil Chowdhury (second position). Bangladesh Edible Oil's general manager, Inam Ahmed, and head of sales and marketing, Shoib Md. Asadujjaman, were present in the ceremony.
