Rain hits Day 2
Rain and wet outfields affected the second day of the fifth round of the National Cricket League with the matches at Rajshahi and Bogra witnessing no play at all yesterday.
The match in Barisal between the hosts and Sylhet saw the visitors recover from their precarious shaky score of 34 for 2 to finish the day on 221 for seven. They were led by Anwar Akbar's unbeaten 66. The other game at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar saw Rangpur ride on Kalyan Ashish's unbeaten 65 to post 249 from their overnight score of 172 for six. In reply Chittagong, led by Mahabubul Karim's 63, reached stumps on 154 for 4.
