Ukrainian MPs fight over Russian link

A video showing two Ukrainian politicians get into a scuffle after one of them accused the other of working with the Kremlin and calling for him to be jailed went viral over social media.

On Monday, during a discussion in Ukrainian Parliament, Radical Party leader Oleg Lyashko and Opposition Bloc co-chair Yuriy Boyko were involved in a scuffle after the latter took offense to a remark made by the former, reports the indy100.

Lyashko, the leader of Radical Party, was on the receiving end of several punches thrown by Opposition Party leader Yuriy Boyko after he accused Boyko of travelling to Moscow to receive orders from the government there, said news.com.au.

“Instructions must be received from your own people, from Ukrainians,” Lyashko said.

“By the way, I also want to ask the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) why they visit Moscow and are not yet in jail?” he added, before Boyko jumped to his feet and aimed a punch at Lyashko’s face.

The following clip of their altercation has been shared widely on Twitter:
