Khaleda concerned over flood situation
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today expressed grave concern over the country’s flood situation and blamed the government for not initiating any “realistic steps”.
The countrymen have already become helpless losing their all belongings due to adverse impact of the flash flood but the government did not initiate any effective step without “leap service.” to protect the people’s livelihood.
The government wants to hang on to power ignoring people’s interest and thus it did not put any heed to stand beside the flood affected and landslide victims, she said in a statement.
Calling upon her party men to stand beside the natural calamity affected people, the former prime minister said the government “believes in politics of vengeance” and thus it cannot minimise the people’s suffering.
