No political crisis in country: Hanif
Observing that there is no political crisis in the country, Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif today said a quarter is carrying out subversive and terrorist acts to make Bangladesh a dysfunctional state.
“We’ve said the country’s situation is not abnormal. A quarter has been carrying out subversive and terrorist acts in a planned way to destabilise the country and thus make it a failed state…the government is trying to resist the terrorist acts,” he said at a press conference at AL president’s Dhanmondi office in Dhaka.
In reply to a question on holding dialogue to resolve the political crisis, the AL leader said, “Where’s the political crisis? Hurling petrol bombs is not politics…so this is not a political crisis.”
Hanif also claimed that through her yesterday’s press conference it was proved that BNP chief Khaleda Zia was not confined. “This proves she had staged a confinement drama.”
About violence during the blockade programme, the Awami League leader said Khaleda is taking revenge on the common people as they are not supporting her destructive politics.
