Warm reception to PM in Delhi

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was accorded a warm ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the presidential palace, in the Indian capital.
The mounted President's Bodyguards, an elite cavalry unit which was formed in 1773 by the then British governor general Warren Hastings, presented national salute to the Bangladesh premier and escorted her to the forecourt when her car entered the Rashtrapati Bhavan at 10am (IST).
A detachment of the defence forces, assembled near the Jaipur Column, also saluted Hasina on her arrival.
Hasina's Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh received her, and the Indian chief of protocol took her to the saluting dais.
The guards comprised of members of the three wings of the Indian armed forces and President's Bodyguards then presented arms as the national anthems of the two countries were played. Hasina later inspected the guard.
The chief of protocol then escorted her to the introduction lines where Manmohan introduced his cabinet colleagues and top officials to the visiting premier. Hasina also introduced her cabinet colleagues and advisers, and top officials accompanying her.
The function was also attended by Foreign Minister Dipu Moni, Water Resources Minister Ramesh Chandra Sen, PM's Advisers HT Imam, Mashihur Rahman and Gowher Rizvi , Ambassador at Large Mohammad Ziauddin, PM's Principal Secretary MA Karim and Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad. Besides, Hasina's son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, her sister Sheikh Rehana's daughter Azmina Siddique, Rehana's son Radwan Mujib Siddiq and his wife Peppi Siddiq were present.
From the Indian side, Foreign Minister SM Krishna, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Home Minister P Chidambaram, Foreign Secretary Niropoma Rao, Governor of Delhi Rajpal and top officials were present
After the ceremonial reception that lasted about 10 minutes, Hasina went to Rajghat to visit the memorial for Mahatma Gandhi, India's father of the nation.
Officials of the memorial committee received the Bangladesh premier on her arrival at the site. Hasina laid floral wreath at the memorial and observed one-minute silence in tribute to Gandhi. She was shown an inscription by Gandhi titled "Seven Social Sins".
