Bangladeshis want UN to force Israel to stop 'genocide' in Gaza
Different organisations in Bangladesh yesterday demanded that the United Nations and the western countries immediately stop Israel from carrying out "genocide" in Gaza.
Human Rights Forum Bangladesh, in a press statement, demanded that Israel pull out its military from Gaza.
The forum held Israel responsible for violating truce despite the international obligations to follow the rules of ceasefire.
It also condemned that the UN is not playing a due role because the USA and other super powers disagree to take any action against Israel.
The forum has called upon Bangladesh and all embassies operating in Dhaka to play a stronger role to compel Israel to stop killing and atrocities.
The international community must take an initiative to find a permanent solution for Palestine-Israel conflict and to stop such killings, the forum added.
Protesters under the banner of Bangladesh Civil Rights Society, another citizen's organisation, yesterday held a rally before Jatiya Press Club to urge the people across the world for waging tougher agitations to force Israel to retreat from its Zionist agenda in Palestine.
They also criticised the Muslim rulers in Arab countries for their "shameless silence" about the continuous Israeli butchery in Gaza.
They also slammed the western countries including the USA for their blind support for the Zionist Israel, ignoring the killings of children, women and innocent Palestinians every day.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Labour Party set fire to the national flag of Israel in a human chain at the same venue in protest.
In another press statement, denouncing the continuous genocide, Bangladesh Christian Association said this heinous atrocity of Israel is just unacceptable. They also called upon the international community to intervene immediately to solve the issue and urged the people to rise against the barbaric Israeli aggression.
