Former CHT affairs state minister Dipankar Talukder arrested

The Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested former state minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, Dipankar Talukder, today in the capital's Sobhanbagh area.

Talebur Rahman, DMP deputy commissioner (media), confirmed the arrest without providing further details.

Dipankar is an Awami League politician and a former MP representing Rangamati.

He is also a member of the AL Central Executive Committee and serves as the president of the AL's Rangamati district unit.
