3 candidates hold secret meets with Jamaat leader Parwar

Three mayoral candidates had six closed-door meetings in last one week with city Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Mian Golam Parwar.
The Mayoral candidates are Moniruzzaman Moni of BNP, Awami League leader Advocate Sheikh Enayet Ali and Muslim League leader Advocate Moslemuddin.
Admitting closed-door meetings with the three mayoral candidates, Jamaat leader Parwar said he would not defy decision of the four-party alliance. “I have asked my party men not to go to polling centres to cast their votes (in the mayoral election)” .
He said Moniruzzaman Moni should have stayed out of KCC polls as a local leader of BNP and co-convenor of four-party alliance.
“I also told two other mayoral candidates Advocate Enayet Ali and Advocate Moslemuddin not to expect Jarnaat votes because of four-party alliance's decision to boycott local body elections”, Mian Parwar said.
Mayoral candidates Moni, Enayet Ali and Moslemuddin, when asked, admitted holding closed-door meetings with Golam Parwar.
