Power shortage

Electricity shortage and load shedding have become a black spot for the country, despite all big talks about development and other progress claims. This one failure, reported practically everyday in all the dailies, is a major problem overshadowing everything else!
Strangely, the so efficient CTG is totally silent about the power capacity enhancement programme! It seems to be the lowest priority for them. They are very busy in rationing power supplies, water supplies, rice, edible oils and all essentials of daily life!
Everyday newspapers are reporting on the worsening power supply situation, with power plants failing like dominoes! After the CTG's initial big talks about activities on power plant repairs and revitalisation during winter months, when demand was low, now it all seems to have fizzled out, when power is needed most! They are strangely quiet on the subject now, while power plants trip and go off-line regularly!
The CTG is too busy, chasing suspect corrupts and irresponsible politicos.
They are least bothered to take any meaningful decision about the shortage of power and drinking water, while new cars for advisers are at the top of priority! It seems the common diseases of the past have rapidly infected the present powers that be! Their top priority is now buying off-season expensive rice; while ignoring its forward purchase at the beginning of the harvesting season!
In the same manner, they are keen on buying expensive new Boeings; but not critically needed power plants! How many Bangladeshis fly, and how many need power for education and healthcare, among other much needed services where sufficient power supply is a dire necessity? This simple logical fact seems to be beyond their comprehension! They seem to operate on lop-sided priorities without any care or responsibility!
