CPD, MCCI offer condolences over the passing of educationist Niloufer Manzur
The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) and Metropolitan Chambers and Commerce Industry (MCCI), Dhaka today expressed their deep mourning over the passing of Niloufer Manzur, a renowned educationist and the founding principal of Sunbeams School.
"With her demise, the country has lost a luminaire and a torchbearer who chose to change the lives of our children by bringing out their best and instilling confidence and values among them as they are carrying her dream across the world," CPD said in a condolence message today.
"Principal Niloufer Manzur, wife of Syed Manzur Elahi, treasurer, Board of Trustees of CPD and chairman of Apex Group, was an institution by herself. She has left a legacy that will continue to enlighten our country for generations," stated the message.
CPD Family paid tribute to her illustrious life and offered their condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the salvation of her departed soul.
Metropolitan Chambers and Commerce Industry (MCCI), Dhaka is also deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Niloufer Manzur.
In a condolence message, MCCI said, "In her passing, the country has not just lost one of its legendary educationists but a great human being, a dedicated and caring individual, one of the great nation builders of the country and a person who never gave up hope."
While her legacy will be carried forwarded by her students who she taught to serve humanity with equal dedication and humility, her loss will be felt deeply by the lives she touched.
MCCI offered its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and requested all to pray for the departed soul of Niloufer Manzur.
Mrs Manzur, wife of the former MCCI President, eminent industrialist and former adviser to the caretaker government Syed Manzur Elahi and mother of MCCI's former president and Managing Director of Apex Footwear Limited Syed Nasim Manzur, died in Covid-19 infection at Combined Military Hospital on May 26 early morning.
