Kamrul Ahsan new BRTA chairman

Dr Kamrul Ahsan, an additional secretary of Road Transport and Highway Division, has been appointed as the chairman of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).

The Ministry of Public Administration today issued a gazette in this regard.

Kamrul Ahsan has been serving the additional charge of BRTA chairman since October 22 after the then Chairman Moshiar Rahmathe was released from his post.

Established in 1987, the BRTA deals with vehicle registrations, issuing and renewing of driving licenses, fitness of vehicles, and route permit for commercial vehicles through its 57 district and five metro offices.
