Azim to be paid: CCDM
Chairman of Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) Kazi Inam Ahmed said yesterday that there was no chance that pacer Mohammad Azim, who was first picked by Mohammedan Sporting Club (MSC) in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) players' draft and then supposedly told to find a new team, would be left club-less or without payment.
"I talked to MSC management about it. They will solve the issue after discussing with the players. There is no chance of this happening. This time it was clearly said to all the clubs that if they take any player then they would have to pay them their fees even if they don't play him. If any problem arises in this regard, the CCDM and BCB can do two things -- either deduct a point from the club or suspend the club."
