Two found dead in Piyain river

Two people, including an Indian, were found dead in the river Piyain in Jaflong area of Gowainghat upazila in Sylhet yesterday.

Stein Lamin was from Meghalaya in India while Rajib Miah, 22, son of Asad Miah, was from Kishoreganj, said Gowainghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Jalil. The OC said the two went missing after two boats had capsized in separate incidents in the Indian and Bangladesh parts of the river on Friday.
