Man dies as tree falls on bike in Dhaka

A motorcyclist was killed after a tree fell on him at Lake Road in Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban area of Dhaka this morning.

Mujahidur Rahman, 35, a medical equipment businessman, was pronounced dead after he was rushed to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital (SSMCH), Sohrab Al Hossain, inspector (investigation) of Sher-e-Bangla Police Station, told The Daily Star.

The incident happened when the victim -- a resident of Mirpur -- was going to his office on Topkhana Road around 9:50am, the police official said.
