Police find Rab uniforms in abandoned microbus

Police yesterday found a firearm, bullets, and Rab uniforms inside an abandoned microbus near Rajarbagh Police Lines.

Four sets of uniforms of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab), a foreign-made pistol, 20 bullets, a pair of handcuffs and a walkie-talkie set were found inside the vehicle, Safiqul Islam Mollah, officer-in-charge of Shahjahanpur Police Station, told The Daily Star.

He said they found the abandoned microbus yesterday afternoon.

“A case was lodge with the police station in this connection,” the OC said.

“The identity of the vehicle's owner is yet to be known. We are investigating the matter and will brief media later on,” he said.
