Bangladesh First into the Quarter finals
Tonight, the second of the eight quarter final rounds of “Rin presents Bangladesh First” powered by Standard Chartered Bank, brought to you by Champs21.com in association with The Daily Star, will be aired on Maasranga TV at 9:05 pm.
A total of 8,000 students of classes VI to X from 80 participating English and Bangla medium schools contested in the first two rounds, with multiple choice questions (MCQ) and jury round held in seven divisional cities in September 2013. The jury selected a total of 128 contestants, two students in a pair from same school, who assembled in Dhaka city for the televised round which is being shown on Maasranga. The programme is anchored by renowned quizmaster Ferdous Bappy and directed by Redoan Ronny. The quarterfinals are fielding top 32 schools in the quest to find a Champion and a Runner-up team.
The TV episode comprises 6 topics: history, heritage, culture, tradition, literature and sports of Bangladesh. There are three rounds in the programme are Doito Round, Amar Jagat and Clue Round. The contestants play as a team representing their school. The two teams with the highest scores in each episode made their way to the quarter finals. The visual graphics of the episodes of got a new look from quarterfinals.
As the competition takes an uphill turn, the competitors are preparing themselves for the first round of the quarterfinals with the ultimate aim to champion the finals and win the grand prize and title of the winner of “Bangladesh First”.
Tonight, an intense competition will take place between the students of Govt. Laboratory School, Dhaka; SOS Hermann Gmeiner School, Khulna; Mirzapur Cadet College, Tangail and BN College, Dhaka.
