Obituary

Hossain Ahmad, former inspector general of police (IGP), died of old age complications at his residence in the capital's Bailey road on Tuesday night. He was 84.
He left behind two sons and two daughters to mourn his death, said a press release.
He will be buried at Mirpur martyred intellectuals' graveyard tomorrow following his namaz-e-janaza at Rajarbagh Police Lines mosque.
