Fakhrul, Noman seek better treatment
BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and party leader Abdullah Al Noman yesterday filed two writ petitions with the High Court, seeking its order on the government to provide them with better treatment.
Fakhrul and Noman are now in Kashimpur Jail in different criminal cases.
According to the petition, they are suffering from different diseases, including heart and diabetes, so they should be admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University or Birdem Hospital.
An HC bench yesterday started hearing the petitions and fixed tomorrow for resuming the hearing.
