Bangladeshis involved in cybercrimes abroad to face action: Home Minister
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today issued a further warning that Bangladeshi nationals who are involved in cybercrimes abroad, must be brought to justice.
"Some people are carrying out cybercrimes abroad… But we're monitoring all those. If they are Bangladeshi citizens, necessary action will be taken against them according to the domestic law," he told in a function here today.
The home minister was replying to different queries of journalists after unveiling a plaque of the newly constructed 'Juri Police Station' under Moulvibazar district.
Later, a rally was held at the police station premises.
Environment, Forests and Climate Change Minister Shahab Uddin; Neshar Ahmed MP; Syeda Zahura Alauddin MP; Sylhet Range DIG Mofiz Uddin Ahmed; Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) Commissioner Md Nisharul Arif; Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Moulvibazar District Mir Nahid Ahsan; District Council Chairman Misbahur Rahman MA Moeid Faruk; and Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Zakaria also spoke.
Besides, local Awami League leaders and government officials were present at the event.
