Newly appointed envoys from 12 countries meet foreign minister

Newly appointed non-resident ambassadors and high commissioners to Bangladesh from 12 countries have visited Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen at Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.
The courtesy visit took place yesterday, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
The ambassadors and high commissioners are: Nigeria High Commissioner Ahmed Sule, Estonia Ambassador Katrin Kivi, Ireland Ambassador Brendan Ward, Rwanda Ambassador Jacqueline Mukangira, Romanian Ambassador Daniela Mariana Sezonov Tane, Dominican Republic Ambassador Devid Puig, Malta High Commissioner Reuben Gauci, Kyrgyz Republic Ambassador Asein ISAEV, Finland Ambassador Ritva Inkeri Koukku-Ronde, Sierra Leone Ambassador Rashid Sesay, Hungary Ambassador Andras Laszlo KIRALY, and Colombia Ambassador Mariana Pacheco Montes.

According to the press release, Foreign Minister Momen expressed hope that the newly appointed envoys, during their tenure, will work to enhance cooperation with Bangladesh both bilaterally and multilaterally.
Dr Momen also called for investment from their respective countries to assist Bangladesh in generating renewable electricity.
The ambassadors and high commissioners conveyed their greetings on behalf of their countries to Bangladesh and its people marking the golden jubilee of independence.
They assured of standing beside Bangladesh at all times for its continuous development and welfare, the release added.
The foreign minister also gave assurance to the non-resident envoys about all-round cooperation and wished success in their duties in Bangladesh.
