Youth killed over previous enmity in Munshiganj
A youth was killed and another was injured over a previous enmity in Munshiganj Sadar upazila early today, family members claimed.
The deceased, Mohammad Mizan Kha (24), was stabbed to death around 2am at Sumardhalikandi village, our local correspondent reports quoting Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Abu Bakar Siddique.
Mizan came to Munshiganj from Dhaka three months ago to help harvest potatoes at his maternal aunt's fields, the OC said.
Quoting the family members, the OC said Mizan had an altercation with a member of neighbouring Mijhi family a few months back regarding application of pesticide at potato fields.
"Mizan might have been killed in a sequel of the previous altercation -- while guarding the potato fields at night," the OC added.
Injured Abdur Rahman was admitted to Munshiganj General Hospital for treatment. He managed to flee when two people attacked them on the fields, the inured said.
