Two killed in clash over land
Two people died while six others were injured in a clash over land dispute in Dinajpur's Ghoraghat upazila yesterday morning.
Monwar Hossain Mim, 24, and Rakib Hossain, 25, both of Khodatpur village, had a long-standing feud with Omar Ali over 28 decimals of land, said Abu Raihan Kabir, officer-in-charge of Ghoraghat Police Station.
A clash broke out between them in the morning, after Omar and his men went to the location to claim the land.
They attacked each other with sharp weapons, leaving eight people injured.
Monwar and Rakib died on way to Ghoraghat Upazila Health Complex while the others were sent to hospitals in Bogura and Dinajpur for treatment, added the OC.
