Husband admitted to killing actress Shimu over domestic dispute: Police

Police today said that Shakhawat Ali Noble -- husband of actress Raima Islam Shimu -- has admitted to killing her following domestic dispute.

Keraniganj Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation), Kazi Ramjanul Haque, told The Daily Star that during primary interrogation, Shakhawat admitted that he killed his wife.

Earlier today, police detained two persons, including the husband, in connection with her death.

The body of the actress, who went missing a few days ago, was found inside a sack near Hazratpur Bridge in Keraniganj, on the outskirts of the capital, yesterday.
