Arms case against DGHS driver Malek: Five more witnesses testify
Five more prosecution witnesses, including three members of Rapid Action Battalion, gave their depositions before a Dhaka tribunal today in an arms case filed against Abdul Malek, driver of the Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS).
The witnesses are: Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) Sub-Inspector Sajedul Islam, its Corporal Shafiqul Islam and constable Anisur Rahman, and two civilians -- Motaleb Hossain and Shahidul Islam.
Judge KM Emrul Kayesh of the Special Tribunal-1 of Dhaka recorded their statements. Yesterday, the tribunal recorded statements of two prosecution witnesses, including complainant of the case.
Defence lawyer for Malek cross-examined them on different points.
The tribunal fixed tomorrow for next hearing of the case.
