Woman dies in accident on Dhaka-Mawa Expressway

A woman died as a vehicle hit her in Louhajang upazila of Munshiganj, on the Padma Bridge link road of Dhaka-Mawa Expressway today (June 30, 2022).

The highway police could not confirm the identity of the deceased, aged around 50.

The accident happened around 1pm in Medinimondol area, Hasara Highway Police Station Sub-inspector Md Zahirul Islam told our Munshiganj correspondent.

He said that the woman was hit by a vehicle while crossing the road. She died on the spot.

The body was sent to Munshiganj General Hospital for autopsy.
