Mob set fire to bus for hitting pedestrian

Angry mob set fire to a city service bus in the port city yesterday after it hit a pedestrian.
Sources said a speeding city service bus of Metro Link carrying workers of a garment factory knocked a pedestrian on Sagarika Road adjoining to Sagarika Industrial area at around 7:45am.
The injured identified as Halima Begum, 25, reportedly a garment worker, was admitted to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
Locals managed to stop the bus and set it on fire.
Two fire fighting units from Agrabad Fire Stations rushed to the spot and managed to extinguish the blaze.
