Siddikur up for bigger challenge

Siddikur Rahman will be looking to turn round his flagging fortunes when he tees off at the prestigious WGC-HSBC Champions in Dongguan, China today. The 27-year old has had a torrid time of late as he finished 46th among 48 competitors in the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur earlier this week.
Siddikur might put that bad performance to the back pain which ruled him out of the Hero Honda Indian Open last week, but things will not be any easier this time around as a host of international stars will be on display at the at the Mission Hills Golf Club from today.
Currently 10th in the rankings, the straight-shooting Siddikur, will be up against the likes of Martin Kaymer, Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter, Justin Rose, Bubba Watson and Phil Mickelson at the Mission Hills Golf Club for the US$7 million WGC-HSBC Champions.
A total of 78 golfers from around the world are participating in the event and Siddikur will tee off at 10am local time. The winner gets a paycheque of $1 million.
