Photo exhibition observing Bangabandhu's death anniversary

Marking the 37th martyrdom of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day, Bangladesh Agricultural University organised a ten-day photo exhibition at BAU Central Library auditorium on August 6.
The photo exhibition, titled “Bangabandhu, The Father of the Nation”, was inaugurated by Vice-chancellor of BAU, Professor Dr. Md. Rafiqul Hoque. The exhibition will conclude on August 15.
More than 100 photos on life and works of the leader were displayed at the exhibition. The display included some rare photographs of Bangabandhu's visit at BAU on February 13, 1973, according to sources.
Marking the inaugural ceremony, a discussion was held. The speakers said that Bangabandhu was a leader who led the nation to independence. For his brilliant contributions in the field of politics, the nation will remember him with great respect for ever.
Terming the photographs a priceless collection of the country's history and independence, the speakers also said that the younger generation can get a vivid picture of the country's history and its political tradition through the photographs.
Students Affairs adviser, Professor Dr. Sultan Uddin Bhuiyan; BAU librarian, Professor Md. Abdur Rashid; secretary, BAU Teachers Association, Professor Dr. Mohammad Shamsuddin; Professor Dr. AKM Zakir Hossain; registrar Nazibur Rahman; and director of Public Relations and Publications, Dr. Aminur Rahman Chowdhury, were present, among others.
