DYD training courses have no link with private bodies

The Department of Youth Development (DYD) in a release yesterday said confusion has been created among the public, including the unemployed youths, about DYD-run training programmes as some private organisations which have been conducting various training programmes across the country are attributing the word 'Jaitya' (national) or phrase 'affiliated with a certain ministry' to themselves.
To dispel such confusion, the Department of Youth Development, Ministry of Youth and Sports, informs all that there is no link between the DYD-run training programmes and those run by the private organisations.
The DYD-run training programmes are aimed at making the unemployed youths self-reliant through enhancing their technical skills.
The department conducts training programmes on computer basic, graphics design, electrical and house wiring, refrigeration and air-conditioning, electronics, livestock rearing, poultry farming, fish cultivation and agriculture-related courses, secretarial science, steno-typing, tailoring, wool knitting, block printing, boutique printing, linking machine operating, hotel management, housekeeping and communicative English.
Youths interested in joining the training courses are requested to collect necessary information from the office of the director general, Department of Youth Development, 108 Motijheel, Dhaka or DYD offices at the district and upzila level.
Training-related information are also available on the DYD website -- www.dyd. gov.bd.
