Unhelpful receptionist at a diagnostic clinic
I am writing on behalf of all the patients of the country. I have a shocking experience in this regard. I wanted information about the types of physiotherapy available at the package rate of Tk.300 (initial payment on the first day) and later at Tk.200.from a diagnostic clinic at Dhanmondi.
I further asked whether this package included traction, because I had taken another package from another clinic, which did not have traction. I was told to contact the doctor over phone. He could not give me a list of the types of services available and was also unable to tell me whether the treatment could be made specific on need basis.
I called the doctor. The man on the other side of telephone became furious hearing my voice. I recognised the receptionist's voice. He told me that I was disturbing him and dismissed me out of hand. I reminded him that I was a patient, but to no avail. As a citizen, don't I have the right to know what I want to know from a diagnostic clinic?
