Jute mill gutted in Ctg

Jute and jute-made goods including some machinery worth about 16 lakh were gutted in a fire at a private jute mill here yesterday morning.
The fire at AK Khan Jute Mills in North Kattoli was originated from an electric short circuit, according to a fire official.
Some fifty workers working inside the mill could escape the fire as the its main gate was kept open.
Four fire fighting units from the port city's two fire stations including Agrabad and Dock Fire Stations managed to subdue the blaze after about three hours.
