Jean-Philippe’s photography exhibition begins today

Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts is holding an exhibition, titled “Apparitions and Cinegraphies”, featuring images by French photographer Jean-Philippe Pernot. The exhibition begins today and will continue till September 2.
Pernot was born in the city of Eminence, France. He has held several solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. His images have been published in different prestigious publications like Tokyo, Magenta, Paradise and Magenta Hell.
He is mainly a figurative photographer and his works show figures in movement. Darkness and shade are noticeable attributes in his works; light is not significantly focused. Frustrations, loneliness and yearnings are the recurring themes.
Noted photographer Dr. Shahidul Alam will inaugurate the exhibition today. Eminent Bangladeshi expatriate painter Shahabuddin Ahmed will be present as chief guest while Patrick Branco, Charge d'Affaires, French Embassy will attend as special guest at the inaugural session.
