7-year-old girl raped, one arrested

The police arrested a person on Thursday night on charges of raping a seven-year-old girl at village Bhairabpur Uttar Para in Bhairab.
The girl, a student of class one, is now undergoing treatment in Kishoreganj Adhunik Sadar Hospital.
Family and police sources said the arrestee, Rafiqul Islam, 45, of the same village raped the minor girl after taking her to an abandoned house on Wednesday evening.
Hearing her scream, local people rushed to the spot and rescued her.
The police arrested Rafiqul after her uncle filed a case with Bhairab Police Station on Thursday.
