Killer suspect arrested

Police on Monday arrested another person suspecting his involvement in killing of advocate Gias Uddin Khan Masud at Kachukathi in Kaukhali upazila of Pirojpur district. Acting on a tip-off, a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested Santu from Kachukathi area and handed him over to Kaukhali police. Earlier, police arrested two people -- Kamrul Islam, local coordinator of NGO Jubok, and Hemayetuddin Shikdar, a clerk of local sub-registrar office - in this connection. Advocate Gias Uddin Khan Masud, 38, was shot dead by a group of armed assailants near Kachukati bridge on Kaukhali-Swarupkathi road on Sunday.
