Narayanganj returnee dies with coronavirus symptoms in Rangpur

Rangpur

A man died in his house at Rangpur's Pirganj upazila this morning with coronavirus-like symptoms.

The 29-year-old man returned to his home in Khashti village 13 days ago from Narayanganj, where he worked at a private company, reports our Dinajpur correspondent quoting TMA Momin, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of Pirganj.

The man was suffering from fever, cough and breathing problems. He breathed his last around 3:30am in his house, said Hasan Ali, union parishad (UP) member of the area.

His samples were collected yesterday and were sent for coronavirus testing to Rangpur Medical College's PCR lab today, the UP member added.

The man's house and a few others in the vicinity were locked down following his death, UNO Momin added.
