MTB chief to head Swift Member and User Group of Bangladesh

Anis A Khan, managing director and chief executive of Mutual Trust Bank, was elected as the chairperson of the Swift Member and User Group of Bangladesh for 2014-16 term on Wednesday, the bank said in a statement yesterday.

Ali Reza Iftekhar, managing director and chief executive of Eastern Bank, was elected as vice chairperson, while AMM Farhad, deputy managing director of Social Islami Bank, was elected as secretary general, according to the statement. New constitution was also adopted in an annual general meeting of the group held in Dhaka on the same day.
