Missing Jubo League leader found dead in Pabna
A Jubo League leader, who went missing two days ago, was found dead this morning in Chatmohar upazila of Pabna.
Police recovered the body from Katgari bridge of Sharatganj Bazar area, Kazi Haniful Islam, officer-in-charge of Pabna Sadar Police Station, told our district correspondent.
Ashit Kumar Bhadra, 30, an assistant relief affairs secretary of Pabna district unit of Jubo League, the youth wing of the ruling Awami League, went out of his house at Shalgaria village on Saturday and since then he remained missing.
Later in the day, his wife Mukti Bhadra filed a general diary with Pabna Sadar Police Station.
The assailants might have dumped the body under Katgari bridge after strangling the victim, said Subrata Kumar Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Chatmohar Police Station.
He added that the locals first found the body and then informed the police.
After the recovery, Chatmohar police sent the body to Pabna Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
